Hello! I’m Ali Erickson! I’m 35 weeks pregnant and a soon-to-be mama to a baby boy! I’m married to a women’s college basketball coach, and I work in talent acquisition for a national law firm, managing staff recruiting for all ten of our offices.
I’m a planner and love to do my research, but as a first time mom, I’m still pretty clueless. So, at this point, I don’t have much advice to give yet. Instead, I thought it would be fun to share a list of products and resources that have guided me through the last 8 months and helped me prepare for this next chapter. I have also included my registry, which you’ll find linked at the bottom.

Workouts
Although the exhaustion has been real, I still feel guilty about not keeping up with a workout regimen. I do try to sneak in a couple Nike workouts a week. They are free on the Nike Training App, quick, low impact, and you can easily modify them. My workouts are rare, and I’ll spare you the details of my diet. LOL! Let’s just say, my cravings have been all over the place, and my baby apparently hates vegetables or anything remotely healthy. That’s what prenatals are for, right?! 😉
When I sat down to create my registry, I was overwhelmed by the amount of products on the market. How do you choose the best car seat or crib mattress with so many different options available? After reading countless blogs, random internet threads, and asking all my friends for their recommendations, I put some serious time, thought, and effort into this: https://www.babylist.com/baby-ali-erickson. It’s not an exhaustive list and won’t work for everyone’s lifestyle, but I’d like to think it’s a good starting point.
That’s all for now. Stay tuned for a look inside Baby Erickson’s nursery! 🙂
