Hey everybody! My name is Megan and I am a mom of three beautiful blessings, ages 3 ½ and 2! I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 10 years!
We had a rocky journey to being parents and are so incredibly blessed when we found out that we would be having twins and even more shocked when we were expecting baby number 3 just five days before their first birthday!
Needless to say there is a lot happening in our house on the daily!
We have the terrible two’s happening (and my goodness that girl is full of some sass!) While also battling with some Three-nagers!
There are many days when I have to give in to the battles because its just easier then continuing to argue with their very set minds. Mommy, I want five snacks today…. OK! Mommy, I don’t want to wear underwear today…. OK! Mommy, I want to watch all four Toy Story movies without stopping today…. OK!
Most days though, I am definitely more in the mindset to work through the arguments and standing my mommy ground. Where I catch myself questioning things is the earth-shattering temper tantrum.
You know which one…. Kicking and hitting, screaming so loud your ear drums feel worse than concerts in your college days, toys being thrown so far you wonder if they may have a career in professional sports in the future.
I always wonder if I am doing something wrong when these happen…. Because let’s face it…. They do. But I know in my heart that I am a good momma and this too shall pass. Which is what I am here to tell you to…. Everything’s gonna be alright!
Do I have all the answers? Absolutely not, ha! I just know that we are trying the best that we possibly can and that this too shall pass. Our babies are loved, fed, loved, rested, protected, loved, did I mention loved? You got this momma. Of course I wonder the same things, but I truly believe that we as mommas are doing our very best and that we are teaching our children to the best of our ability.
Life is hard and being a mom is not for the faint of heart but one day we will look back and not even remember the hard times. We will remember the adorable little voices, the handmade preschool crafts, the funny little nuances that they pick up. Gosh, I love being a mom. What were we talking about before? 😊
